The Age-Friendly Strategy for Gore District was established to ensure that they are meeting the needs of the community now and into the future. The strategy focuses on creating a more enabling and inclusive environment that is supportive and accommodating of people of all ages. The strategy has assisted with building our knowledge and understanding of the needs of older people to enable the best things to be in place for the future, to become a truly intergenerational community, where people of all ages and stages interact and cooperate to everyone’s benefit.
