  • The Southland Business Chamber is a membership organisation. Not for profit organisations can join at a not for profit rate. The Chamber is located at 25 Don Street, Invercargill and services all of Murihiku Southland.

    The Chamber runs a wide range of events, training and upskilling opportunities. These include:

    • Leadership Academy – scholarships available from Community Trust South for not for profit members

    • Not for profit training series

    • A wide range of workshops and events for businesses that can be useful for not for profits as well

  • The Community Trust South provides support to community organisations to help with training and upskilling. This includes:

  • The Southland Community Leaders Mentoring Programme is aimed at supporting and strengthening leaders in non-profit and community organisations. It is delivered by GreenLight Innovations in partnership with the Mentoring Foundation of New Zealand.

    The programme is designed to make real connections between real people aimed at getting results for our participants, our community partners, and their communities. The programme which is run over six-months connects a community leader to a mentor with relevant experience, who can help them improve their effectiveness, though increased confidence, capability and connection to peers within their community.
